Spaghetti Anyone?

Nathan's favorite meal is spaghetti. He loves it and I think he enjoys the mess too. I think he just likes the taste of the sauce because he will eat anything with tomato sauce pizza, lasagna, calzones...... I always wonder if he is going to permanently dye his face red.

Where Have We Been?

It has been a looooong time since I have posted and good friends are starting to worry. We are doing just fine. I have just been slacking on my blog time. I have been spending all of my extra time trying to catch up on scrapbooking. It has been fun but I have a long way to go so I will try to be better on keeping our blog up to date.
Here are some things that have happened while I was in scrapbook mode:

Nathan is really working at walking. He really is not into it that much, he would prefer to just crawl because it is easier for him. He will walk holding our hands or pushing something but when he really wants to get somewhere he will just crawl. We will keep working on it.

Christmas was great. (That seems like so long ago) Nathan of course had a great Christmas with some new fun toys which is great because I needed some new ones to play with too.

I had my 26th b-day in January which was fabulous. Ryan got me the Utah Mama handbook which is awesome and Nathan got me some beautiful flowers. Ryan's b-day is coming up in March and he will be the big 30!!!

Nathan had his first haircut which was not his favorite thing to do. My friend Molly cut it who he really likes but that still didn't help. There were a few tears but in the end all was forgiven and he even gave her a hug. I have since cut his hair again. Just a little trim and it wasn't as bad for Nathan this time around.

Nathan also went to the dentist for the first time in January. He did great and I really liked who we went to. He is a pediatric dentist with a very kid friendly office. If you need a dentist let me know.

Well I think that is all the major stuff other than we are all getting spring fever!! (: More to come later.

Happy 1st Birthday Nathan!!!

Our little boy is now one. I can't believe how fast he has grown and developed into this little person. We had a great day. My sister shares the same birthday (December 11th) with Nathan so she came to celebrate with us along with my mom. We made two cakes and had lots of presents and fun. We did a dinosaur theme this year. Nathan had a Dinosaur cake and we went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point. It was a lot of fun and Ryan enjoyed the museum just as much as Nathan. Nathan was given a lot of nice things. He enjoyed ripping open the presents. It took us a long time to open them all up because Nathan wanted to play with each toy he opened.

The Birthday kids! I have always been excited about Nathan experiencing his first cake but when it came time he was not impressed. He didn't want to have anything to do with it and was really upset when my sister tried to "help" him make a mess of it. He hated having the frosting on his hands and flung it all on the floor. We learned that the whole cake was way too overwhelming and he didn't know what to do with it. Once we removed the cake and just gave him chunks of it is when he really got into it.
Our Birthday Boy!!

Happy Birthday Nathan! You bring so much joy to our family. We have enjoyed watching you learn and grow and look forward to many more fun years. We love you!

It has been a while since we have posted anything. We sure enjoyed the fall season. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. We enjoyed many fun days in fall... play dates out to Wheeler Farm and the pumpkin patch, Nathan's first Halloween, trips to Gardner Village and of course hiking in the beautiful mountains. We got to take a trip to San Diego earlier in November and Nathan enjoyed his first Thanksgiving with cousins.
Another favorite time of year for me is Christmas!! I love Christmas time and it is ten times more exciting when you have a curious little boy. We put up our Christmas decorations last weekend and Nathan loved exploring everything. He especially liked the lights on the Christmas tree. Christmas is such a magical time and a wonderful time to remember all your blessings. I think Christmas will always be a special time for me because last year at this time we were very excited to be expecting Nathan. Now, almost one year later he has grown so much and brought so much joy to our life.
Watching Daddy put up the lights.

Nathan's First Sucker

In November Nathan and I took a trip to San Diego. We had a great time seeing family, going to the Wild Animal Park and enjoying the warm weather. But I think Nathan's favorite activity was trying out his new big sucker that grandma bought him. It was quite entertaining to watch. I have never seen anyone enjoy a sucker as much as he did. He of course was a sticky mess after but it was worth it. He even thought it was fun to stick it on his forehead.
What a funny little guy!

What a face!

Halloween

Yeeeh Haaaw!! Nathan had a great first Halloween. His cowboy costume turned out great. Thanks to Cindy for letting us borrow the boots. Howdy! Giddy Up!! Nathan was ready for his first Trunk or Treat. The whole Moehle family at Trunk or Treat. My Cowboys.
I was impressed with Nathan being able to keep his hat on most of the time. However, his boots were another story. He kept kicking them off.Nathan and his buddy Adam. Adam sure made a cute horse. (Notice Nathan's boot missing)Caught red handed in the candy. Even though Nathan doesn't eat candy he managed to still fill his trick or treat bucket.Nathan's first experience with a sucker. He was eating the paper off so we unwrapped it for him and boy did he like it. It did make me a little nervous so he didn't get to suck on it for very long. Our good friends the Kings were in town for Halloween and we had a blast seeing them.
Lisa arrived just in time to join us for "Witches Night Out" at Gardner Village. We had a great time dancing, eating, shopping and cackling for coupons. We all enjoyed our night out together. While the Kings were here they got to stay with us and Nathan had so much fun with Preston. He loved watching him play and followed him all over the house. They became real buddies. Even pajama buddies. Lisa and I tend to think alike and when both our boys ended up in the same pjs we just had to laugh.Mommy's Little Monster We took Nathan out on Halloween just around our neighborhood. He enjoyed seeing his neighbors and got some cool treats. His favorite was a pumpkin straw from our friend Julie.

Our Frankenstein pumpkin. We grew 8 pumpkins in our garden and didn't end up carving any of them. But we did create this guy out of our one green pumpkin.
We hope you enjoyed your Halloween.
