Can't Wait!

Nathan is so excited about being a big brother. We have been talking about it a lot lately. He loves to give the baby hugs and pat the baby. When I ask him if he is going to be a good big brother he confidently says "yep". Every night after he gives me a hug he has to give the baby a hug too. It is so sweet and we all can't wait to meet our little bundle of joy.

Halloween

I know that Halloween was almost a month ago but we had so much fun I had to post pictures anyway. Nathan was fireman and his costume turned out so cute. He loved wearing it too. Especially the hat and boots. He eventually figured out the whole Trick or Treating thing and we had so much fun taking him around the neighborhood and doing the Trunk or Treat.

Our friends the Kings came for a visit from Washington. Lisa and I are best friends and we always laugh about how connected we are. Well our children's costumes prove it. We didn't know what each was going to be and it just happened that we had a fireman and a Dalmatian. Ryan and I attended an adult only costume party that was an absolute blast!! We got really creative with our costumes and had fun making them. Since I was 8 months pregnant I wanted to incorporate it into the costume. So here we are the Bun in the Oven and the Bun Maker. We won for most creative couple.
During the month of October we spent some time doing fun things with our playgroup. This is our group at Engh Gardens. I am so glad to have such an awesome group of moms to hang out with.

Counting Down

Pregnancy is an amazing time for me. It is so awesome to think about the little miracle developing inside. This pregnancy has gone by so fast and we now have less then 10 weeks before our new little baby boy is here. The count down has begun and it is going to be here before we know it. Our family is so excited to meet this new little guy. Nathan has now figured out that there is a baby in mommy's tummy and he loves to softly pat my tummy. It is very sweet and we think he is going to be a good big brother. In just a few months our lives are going to change once again. Some days I think time passes way too quickly and that is why I am trying to enjoy every moment.

Beautiful Baby Bump!

Here it is, a picture of the baby bump. This is at 20 weeks and I am now 25. It has gone by so fast! I love being pregnant and I have one active little guy in there. He is moving a lot these days. Our family is so excited. Nathan hasn't really caught on to the whole idea of a baby. But he is pretty smart and does notice that there is something different. He really likes other kids and is especially drawn to babies so we are hoping that sticks when our new guy becomes a part of our family.
My family brings me so much joy and we feel so blessed to have our family grow. A baby is truly a miracle and gift from heaven. I absolutely love being a mother and cherish that role. We can't wait to meet this new little guy!

Summer Fun

We have had an awesome summer full of swimming, playing outdoors, spending time with friends, family visits, and trips to the Zoo. Nathan really enjoys being outside especially to play in the sandbox Ryan made for him. He also really loves swimming and has progressed so much this summer. Nathan and I have been doing parent-tot swim classes together but now he is ready for private lessons. We are so proud of Nathan. He is such a big boy and growing so fast. Just within the last months he has increased his vocabulary, learned how to climb and jump off all of the furniture, and many more fun things. He is all boy and loves anything with wheels. We have had lots of fun times this summer and ended it with a short trip to the Unitas. It was beautiful and so refreshing and Nathan is a good little camper.

6 Happy Years

Ryan and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on August 8th. It is amazing how quickly time passes and a lot has changed since that special day. Each year just gets better and better. Our family is truly blessed and we are so happy that it is growing. Nathan has brought so much joy to our lives and we can't wait for our new little boy to arrive. Ryan and I are so happy to have found each other and we can't wait to spend many more years together.

As we went to dinner to celebrate we were reminiscing on what it was like when we were first married. We had a lot of laughs about that. Especially when we thought of our first place together which was the lovely University of Utah student housing. We have grown and learned a lot about each other and we have had fun on the way. Marriage is truly a wonderful gift.

It's a BOY!!!

We had our ultrasound last week and found out that we are having another boy!!! We are sooooooo excited! Nathan and his little brother will only be two years apart and we think they will be the best of buddies. Nathan will be so excited to have a little brother to play cars with and teach him all the boy stuff. Nathan's birthday is December 11th and this baby is due December 7th. It is amazing to be having two December babies and they are both boys. We can't wait to meet this new little guy!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a very fun 4th of July together. In the morning our friends the Butlers took us boating. We had so much fun and Nathan loved riding on the boat. Ryan got to try wake boarding and so tubing. Nathan liked watching his Daddy out there. It was a great day to be on the lake. Thank you Butlers!
Later we went to see fireworks and Nathan enjoyed the show. Every once in awhile he would say whoa. It was so cute. Our festive family ready to enjoy the fireworks.
Nathan loves his new wagon and really enjoys riding in it. It was the perfect way to haul everything to the firework show.

Nathan know his way around the kitchen. We made some cookies and as always Nathan had to help. His favorite part is watching everything get mixed and then liking the beaters.

Ryan tearing it up on the wake board. He had a lot of fun and it just took him a few tries to get the hang of it. I was a little sad that I didn't get to participate this time around. Oh well, maybe next year.

Ready for the sun!

At the Zoo

Ryan had the day before the 4th off so we decided to take a trip to the zoo. We had so much fun together and Nathan LOVES animals. He was running around everywhere and so excited to be there. The giraffes are on of his favorites. We are now members of the zoo and we will be frequent visitors after seeing how much Nathan enjoyed it. Family picture with the giraffes.
Nathan has a little more growing to do.

Ryan has almost got the same arm span as a gorilla.

Buddies
Nathan's new favorite thing is to grab your hand and take you where he would like to go. Daddy was Nathan's zoo buddy that day and they went all over the park together.

Nathan's scary face. I am not quite sure where he learned it.

Baby on the Way

Our newest family member is due to arrive December 7th, five days before Nathan's 2nd birthday. A little crazy I know but we are SO EXCITED that our family is growing. I am 15 weeks along and happy to finally be into the second trimester. That first trimester was a hard one this time around. I don't remember being so sick and tired with Nathan. Maybe that is just how it goes but I am glad to be feeling better. I am still tired all the time but I am pretty sure that is because I have a very active 18 month old to keep up with. We are looking forward to the first ultrasound in just a couple of weeks and we can't wait to find out what we are having. We thought we were tough enough to wait to find out this time but I am just too much of a planner and I can't wait to start making plans! We have absolutely no thoughts about what we are having and we would be happy either way. We just can't wait to meet this new little blessing.

Big News!!!

We are soon going to have four in our family....
a big brother Nathan can't wait to be!!

Happy Days in San Diego

We always enjoy visiting our family in San Diego. We had so much fun at Disneyland and California Adventure. We also were able to enjoy a few days of just relaxing and spending time with our families. Ryan enjoys having projects to help out his dads. This time he helped my dad with our front door. Nathan wanted to help too especially since there were so many cool tools to work with. He is definitely following after his dad!
While the men spent some time laboring the grandmas took Nathan and I to the San Diego Zoo. We had a fun day together and Nathan enjoyed seeing all of the animals. He especially liked the monkeys. They were sure giving him a show. Happy day at the Zoo.

Nathan also liked the little petting zoo they had there. He was not afraid to walk right up to the goats and lambs and give them a pat. He was very gentle and would squat down and get in their face to talk to them.

Of course we had to spend a couple of hours at the beach. Nathan and Dad enjoyed making sand castles and when we were all done Nathan was covered in sand and happy.

What a beautiful day!

Nathan is so lucky to have both grandparents in San Diego. We spent a lot of time at both homes. Nathan liked the bike at grandma Moehle's and it was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Nathan also likes all of the animals at grandma Bryant's. They have three dogs, a cat and a guinea pig. He sure loves going to his grandma's houses.

California Adventure

After a day in Disneyland we spent the next one in California Adventure. We had a lot of fun there and they had a lot of fun things for Nathan to do too. Ryan and I had a favorite ride which was the hang glider simulation ride. It was amazing and it even smelled like oranges when we flew over an orange grove. Happy to be on an adventure.
Our little fire fighter.

Surf's up!

This is one of my favorite pictures. Nathan got to meet Wall-E. Well not really it was just a picture but he sure looked real. Nathan sure liked him. He kept walking over and standing by him.

A bunch of bugs! These glasses were awesome and we look hilarious. We were at A Bug's Life 3D show and it was very entertaining. We were sad when we had to give up the glasses though.

Mom and Nathan happy to be having lunch!

Grandpa and Nathan just relaxing. Nathan loved sitting in these little tractor chairs. Every time we walked by them he had to sit in them. We may need one of our house.

Getting to ride a Bug ride. The Bug's Life section was the cutest part for Nathan and he enjoyed all of the rides.

Disneyland!!!

Back in April my parents took the whole family to Disneyland to celebrate their 20th anniversary. We had a great time together and Ryan and I hadn't been since our honeymoon. I had forgotten how awesome Disneyland really is!! It really is the happiest place on earth! The whole family ready for our day of adventure.

Nathan enjoyed his time with Grandma and Grandpa. Thanks for a wonderful trip!!Nathan had a great time at Disneyland. He is still a bit young to fully appreciate it but he did LOVE Toon Town. There were so many fun things to climb on and explore. He got to ride a few rides and I think Autotopia was his favorite.
Our future pianist. He had a great time with this piano in Goofy's house.

Goofy's Chair.

Getting ready to ride Pirate's of the Caribbean. My favorite ride!!

Enjoying time together in the sunshine.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! It was a wonderful day. We enjoyed spending time as a family and attending church to remember what Easter is really about. We also had a fabulous dinner with our friends the Butlers. Julie is an amazing hostess and the dinner was delicious and we really enjoyed being with friends. Nathan ready for church in his Easter outfit.
After dinner we had our own egg hunt in the front yard. Once again Nathan just enjoyed his one egg. We ended up picking up all of the rest.

We are so glad that Nathan was so easily pleased with his one egg.
Happy Easter!
