Nathan Found His Toes

Nathan found his toes. It is pretty funny to watch because he pulls his socks off, tries to eat them and then goes for the toes. I am impressed at how flexible he is. I think Nathan is teething because he has been chewing on anything he can get in his mouth and he drools all day everyday. He has been doing this for almost 2 months. These teeth are sure taking a long time to make their debut but right now we are enjoying his toothless smiles. (:

We are also still working on the rice cereal. I don't know if it is just me but I love feeding him. It is so fun to see how big of a mess we can make. I can't wait until he can have spaghetti and red jello.

Nathan's First Rice Cereal Meal

Last Sunday we decided it was time to try the rice cereal. We were quite pleased at how well he did. Of course more came out then went in. He kept opening his mouth for more but didn't really know what to do with it. He even pulled a couple of faces that said "what is this?". But overall he did really well and we considered the meal a success. You will also notice Zoey our dog in the background. I think she was hoping that Nathan would share a little with her. She doesn't need to worry because there will be many messes to clean up in the future.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms. I hope that you had a special day. It was very special for me because it was my first. I love being Nathan's mom. He is so amazing and brings so much joy into my life. Being a mom has been an incredible experience. I am so grateful for this privilege and look froward to many more Mother's Days.

Ready For Summer!

Nathan is ready for summer and so are we! I can't wait for warmer days. Nathan and I are heading to beautiful San Diego tomorrow. Grandmas are very excited. This will be Nathan's first trip to Grandma's house. I am a little nervous flying by myself with Nathan but when we went to Tucson he did awesome so I hope he will feel the same way about his second trip. While in San Diego Nathan will have his first experience at the beach and we are heading to the Wild Animal Park. California here we come!
I just added this picture because it is funny. He loves his elephant and loves to suck on his nose. Everything goes in the mouth now. Including fist fulls of mommy's hair. Ouch! (:

Milestones

Nathan is growing and developing so fast. He has started reaching for objects and loves putting them in his mouth (his fingers are still his favorite though). It is amazing to watch. You can just see him thinking about what he needs to do to grasp the toy. But he is still learning how to get it in his mouth. He misses a lot (: Nathan is also so aware of his surroundings. He loves looking at everything and he especially loves staring at people. Nathan also loves staring at himself in the mirror. He loves watching the baby smile back at him.
Nathan has become quite the fan of his baby einstien entertainer. It is so fun to watch him try to play with the toys. He likes spinning them and chewing on his dinosuars ear. Yum.
Nathan is also awesome at tummy time now but it is still not his favorite. He still has not rolled over but has been really close (his arms always get in the way). Sometimes I think he may be crawling before he actually rolls over.
