Growing so fast!

June has been a busy month for our little Nathan. He has sure accomplished a lot in just a month.
1. He has been busy growing six teeth!!! You will notice them in the picture above although his front teeth are now poking out a lot more. You will also notice the t-shirt he is wearing in the picture below. My mom got him this shirt in honor of him sprouting teeth. There have sure been some crabby days but thank goodness he is cute. (:

2. He has become my little water baby. He loves his swim lessons and he loves being in the pool, his baby pool, the shower and his tub. Floating on his back is not his favorite but he does not mind being dunked now.

3. Nathan has become a superstar at eating solid foods. He can't get enough. He loves it and loves anything we give him rice cereal, sweet potatoes, applesauce and so on. He has even been trying to master drinking from a cup. We are not quite there yet and he is still figuring out how a sippy cup works. But he is a hungry boy and loves eating with us.

4. Nathan has also mastered rolling over. It took him a little while but he is now rolling all over the house.

5. He is also getting much stronger sitting up on his own but prefers standing.

6. He is all full of smiles lately and is the happiest when mom or dad is holding him. He loves socializing with others.

7. He has added "bub, bub, bub" and "ba, ba, ba" to his vocabulary along with all sorts of other sounds from squealing to razzing.

Well I would say that is a lot for a little guy to accomplish. Whew, we will see what next month brings us. But can I just say that he is growing way to fast. I am going to have a toddler before I know it. (:

Nathan Goes to Girl's Camp

Nathan and the Girls
Yesterday Nathan and I went up to girl's camp. Nathan loves our Young Women and the girls adore him. We will be sure to show him this picture later in life (:

Our group

Nathan was quite the little camper. He did great and was fascinated by all of the greenery.

Nathan helping us prepare for our skit.

We all tie died our shirts for camp. Nathan even got one too.

He even enjoyed the fine dining experience at camp. Sweet potatoes, Yum!

Happy Father's Day

Happy 1st Father's Day to our dad. We are so lucky to have Ryan in our family. He is an awesome dad and Nathan is so happy when he is around. Ryan was the first one that made Nathan laugh. Nathan is absolutely fascinated by him and loves being carried around in his arms.
Ryan is the hardest worker I know. He works so hard at his job so that I can stay home and he works just as hard at home. He spent his weekend shoveling and hauling 8 tons of rock to beautify our backyard. He is quite the handyman too. He can fix anything and everything. He is amazing! We love you dad!

Happy 6 months!

Nathan is now 6 months!! He is getting so big. He is sprouting teeth like crazy. He has four coming in. Two on top and two on bottom. He also had his first mom and me swim class yesterday and did pretty good. Although he did not enjoy getting dunked. (: He is getting better at sitting up on his own and he is all smiles lately (except when in comes time for bed or nap time). Not suprisingly Nathan is in the 75% for his height and a good 16 lbs. We are so proud of him and can't believe how quickly he is growing.

Help Our Tree!

This is a tree in our front yard. We planted it a few days after Ashley graduated from college. Its growth was supposed to represent our prosperity, but as you can now tell it is not doing so well. The top is dead. Only the bottom is growing.

Is anyone a certified arborist?

Nathan's First Hike

On Saturday we decided
to take Nathan for a hike up Ensign Peak. Nathan was all tuckered out even before we started. This was his first hike and he seemed to enjoy it and we had fun too.

Nathan and his dad before the hike.

The view from Ensign Peak. It was pretty cool to be able to see the whole valley.

Us at the top.

When Nathan rides in the front carrier he always sticks his hands out to the side. So Ryan got to stare at his cute little chubby hands the whole time.

Me and Nathan after the hike. Nathan looks like he could use another nap. (:

Nathan's Trip to San Diego

In May Nathan and I went for a visit to San Diego. He did really well flying on the airplane. It sure does take a lot of work to fly with a baby though, especially by yourself. (: But we made it and Nathan enjoyed visiting his family. This is Nathan with his Aunt Chrissy also known as Aunt Kizzy (she made the onesie for him).

Nathan is ready for the beach. Too bad it was a little chilly the whole time we were there and did not make it. We will be going back in July and Nathan will have a chance to go see the beach when it is a little warmer.
Nathan having fun riding the rocking horse at his grandmas.
Me and Nathan ready for an adventure.
Nathan did get to try out grandma's pool. It wasn't warm enough to swim but he got to put his toes in the water.
