So I thought beach day deserved its own post. This was Nathan's first time at the beach and I was so excited because I love the beach and knew Nathan would too. Well I thought wrong. He was not impressed at first. He did not like the cold water on his toes or the fact that he could only touch the sand and not put it in his mouth. After awhile he warmed up to it and we ended up spending a good 2 hours there. He was fascinated by the ocean and once he had his binki to keep his mouth occupied he liked playing in the sand.

San Diego Trip
Two weeks ago my family came up for a visit. We went to Lagoon and had a blast. This was Nathan's first visit and I had not been in a really long time. I forgot how fun Lagoon is in its own special way. My sisters boyfriend being from CA of course had never been and even though it was no Magic Mountain he enjoyed it too.
Us after the Rattle Snake Rapids. My favorite ride and we were all pretty wet.
My family drove to Utah so Nathan and I had the pleasure of accompanying them back to San Diego. This was Nathan's first road trip. I was a little worried about how he would do but once again he surprised me and did great. He is becoming quite the traveler. I thought he would sleep most the time but he was wide awake taking in everything. To make the trip more pleasant for everyone we broke it up into two days and stayed in Mesquite. Nathan did well in the hotel, another first. I was quite impressed with how well he slept. Now if only he would sleep that well at home.
Once we got to San Diego it was non stop fun. I think Nathan was the happiest kid in San Diego. He enjoyed all the attention from all of mine and Ryan's family. He loved grandma's pool and all of the new toys provided by both grandmas. We went swimming almost everyday, had lunches and dinners out, took a trip to the beach and enjoyed the beautiful San Diego weather.

The last day before we left we went to Balboa Park. It is the most gorgeous park with lush gardens, beautiful fountains, amazing architecture and never ending palm trees. It is one of my favorite places in San Diego and it is where I had my bridal pictures taken. It was a fun day and Nathan enjoyed being outside.
We had an awesome trip and it was sure hard to come home. Nathan enjoyed being entertained by everyone and absolutely loved all of the attention. He thought my sister Chrissy was hilarious and kind of abnoxious when she smothered him in kisses. Maybe someday we can call San Diego our home. (Someday far, far, far in the future)
