Homemade Finger Paint

One day we decided to try something new and exciting.....finger painting! It was so much fun, messy and easy to clean up.
James immediately decided he wanted to eat the finger paint...

and then when he decided that was not something that he would like to eat, wanted his hands wiped and that was that.

Nathan really got into it and spent a lot of time carefully painting several pieces of paper.  It was a really fun and creative activity for him and of course he loved the blue finger paint the best.

Really concentrating.
I think we may have a future artist on our hands. (:

James

James loves his toothbrushes!! He now has several that he has claimed as his.  We have all lost a few toothbrushes to his little chompers.  Daddy especially because he always leaves his on the edge of the bathroom counter where little hands can reach.

James loves to wrestle with his brother on the big boy bed or in the couch cushions.

Chillin'
These jammies make James look so grown up.  Is there a way to slow down time? because it sure goes by fast.

So silly!

Mr. Potato Head

a new favorite

We love Daddy!

Nathan

My little superhero!

Nathan is at such a fun age.  He is so curious about everything and we have recently started all of the "why" questions.  He has a lot of questions throughout the day and some of them make me laugh.  "Who built our house?" "Who gave me my hair?" "Where do bananas come from?" "What letter does car start with?" "Who gave me this book?" "What do ladybugs eat?" ......and so on.  He has a funny little personality and so sweet too.  He will randomly come up and give me a hug or kiss and say "I love you momma".  He loves to play outside, play with friends, read books, make treats with me, and rearrange and play with all of his "treasures" (he has a pile on his bookcase of things he finds special and puts them in a bag or basket like his blue scissors or my black hair clip that he calls a spider).  We are so blessed to have him in our family.

Jamers

James is getting so big! On Saturday he will be 17 months.  He is a very busy boy these days and tries hard to keep up with his big brother.  He is so funny and has me laughing several times throughout the day with his quirky tendencies.  He has the happiest little smiliest face that I just can't get enough of and can't help but smile back when I see him.  He is very adventurous and a little bit of a mischief maker.  He is getting around really well and almost running (especially if it is time for a diaper change) now.  He loves to be outside, climb, eat, laugh, play and especially read books.  He catches on to things very quickly and it sometimes surprises me how much he gets it.  We are having so much fun together and are so happy he is apart of our family.  Isn't funny how much children change your life? and how now that they are here you can't imagine life without them?

The Fish Tank

We have some new additions to our home.....four little fish.  Nathan and Daddy have really been wanting to start a fish tank so we pulled all the fishware out from the garage, set it all up and went to the pet store to pick out our fish.  Nathan really wanted a blue shark fish (two of his favorites right now) so we found the fish that looked closets to a shark that we could find.  The fish tank is in Nathan's room and the boys love it.  It is quite soothing for naps and bedtime and Nathan enjoys being in charge of taking care of them.  The fish names (by Nathan) Bruce, Blue Shark, Gum fish and the other is still to be determined maybe by James when he can speak more.
