Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny made a visit to our house. It was so fun doing an Easter basket for Nathan this year. Last year he was a little too young to appreciate one. Everyone got their own Easter basket and we all enjoyed them.
He loved his Little People tractor of course. I really like the Little People toys and remember having some when I was growing up. I got a great deal at buy one get one free. We saved the other one for some other day when we need something new.

He also got a sandbox toy set for the fabulous sand box Ryan is creating in the backyard. Nathan likes to dig so we can't wait and I am sure we will be spending many hours back there. Play date anyone?

He also got a new truck from Grandma and he LOVED it. He carried it around all day.

Enjoying his new tractor.

He also loved the eggs in his basket. I filled them with fruit snacks since he really doesn't eat candy and he thought that was so exciting.

Decorating Easter Eggs

Nathan also helped decorate Easter eggs for the first time too. It was as big of a mess as I thought it would be and a lot of fun. Nathan's favorite part was dropping the egg into the dye. Sometimes one egg got dropped into several different colors. They turned out great and made great deviled eggs the next day for Easter dinner. What beautiful eggs.

Trying to get the egg out with the wand.

After awhile he gave up using the wand and just grabbed the egg and dropped it in.

Wheeler Farm Easter Carnival

After the egg hunt we went to Wheeler Farm's Easter Carnival. It was a little rainy and cold but we still had a great time. Nathan is absolutely fascinated with anything that has to do with the farm. He loves tractors, cows, pigs, ducks, and so on. He really enjoyed seeing all of the farm animals and especially the tractors. He is learning the animal sounds too. He can say moo, quack, bark and is learning baaa. We joke that he may grow up to be a farmer one day. Checking out the baby chicks. They were so cute and tiny. Nathan loves watching chickens and ducks and likes the noises they make.
The best part....the tractors!

Nathan had so much fun sitting on the tractor. He was turning the wheel and figured out that the seat was bouncy too.

All business.
Which fields need plowing?

Our future farmer.

Nathan's First Egg Hunt

This year Nathan went to his first egg hunt at Murray Park. We had a blast and were so proud of Nathan and his one egg. Ready for the hunt.
Nathan showing Mom his one egg. There were so many kids there that we were so grateful he got one. The whole field was covered with eggs and once they yelled go I think every egg was picked up within 30 seconds. Luckily there was an egg right in front of where we were standing so we hurried over and Nathan snatched it up. Nathan could have cared less and loved his one egg. It was great. Next year Nathan will be able to run a little faster. (:

So fascinated by his plastic egg.

What a fun first.

Our Little Walker

Within the last month Nathan has improved his walking skills tremendously. We are so proud of him and it is so fun to watch. When he was first learning he would always hold his hands above his head. It was pretty funny but now he has figured out how to use them for balance. He usually has a big smile on his face which of course puts a even bigger smile on ours.

Bathroom Reconsturction

We have been working on our master bathroom on and off for quite awhile. Ryan started working on it again last week and it was really the first time Nathan had ever seen it because the door is always shut. Nathan was amazed at this new discovery and he loved helping Ryan. We even got out his tool box and he played with Daddy all afternoon. Like Father like Son. Now if we can just teach Nathan how to tile. (:

Safety First!
After Nathan saw Dad wearing these he wanted to give them a try. It is a good look for him.

Cookie Monster!!

Nathan's new favorite treat is cookies and milk! I was having some one day and he wanted a cookie so I gave him one and he went right ahead and dunked it in the milk. It was awesome. So now we enjoy cookies and milk together. He makes a huge mess but we have so much fun.
We have had a really hard couple of weeks so it was great to see him smile. Right after Ryan's birthday Nathan got sick with a cold which then turned to croup. After we got the croup cleared up he had a cold for about a week and then started the beginning of last week with an ear infection. It was his first and hopefully his last. We have been to the doctor three times in 10 days. Poor little guy was so miserable. We are on the mend now and he is back to his happy self.

That is how I feel about cookies and milk too! Oreo's are our favorite!! We even had the spring time addition with yellow frosting. Yum!

Hippity Hoppity Easter is on its way!!
I was putting up Easter decorations and Nathan loved these Peep sunglasses. I think they are quite stylish. He also experienced a plastic egg for the first time. He was fascinated by it, especially when it came apart. Imagine how exciting it will be when there is something in it. That is what I love about Nathan, he finds joy in the simplest things like a 10 cent plastic egg. We should all try to be more like kids!
