Last week I hosted my first craft night with my friends. We all made these fun Halloween decorations. They turned out really cute and we had a great time crafting together. Ryan played a big part in it too. He cut out all of the wood for everyone and drilled the final holes to finish it off. We were so glad that it was a success and it was a lot of fun to get creative. I think we should go into business (not likely). (: Thanks to everyone who came. It was a blast!!

The Moehle Harvest
Every year we grow a garden. We are just starting to get the hang of it. This year we made the mistake of planting two squash plants along with our zucchini. We have squash coming out our ears. I don't really know how to cook it but I think I may try to make some baby food. We also have lots of tomatoes because I always plant way too many bushes. I even planted a yellow tomato bush on accident which gives us some variety. For awhile we were wondering why those tomatoes were not turning red. This year we grew cucumber that I started from seed and they are delicious. We have not been very successful with cucumber in the past. We also tried pumpkins this year and we now have a pumpkin patch growing in our backyard. The plant is taking over the garden and so far we have seven pumpkins growing. We will definitely be ready for Halloween.
We always let our zucchini grow ridiculously huge mostly because we can't keep up with them. Ryan thinks we should enter them in the fair next year.

Fun at the Fair
It has been a tradition for us to go the Utah State Fair every year. This year it was a lot of fun because Nathan got to come along for his first Fair experience. He was quite intrigued by all of the farm animals and the sounds they made. He got to eat a snow cone, grandma bought him a cowboy hat, he saw the amazing butter cow display and he got his picture on a pumpkin. We had a great time.
Family Photo
The classic tractor picture of Ryan and Nathan (we get one evey year).

Nathan even got to play a fair game. He picked out one of the boats and won a stuffed frog. Awesome!

Nathan's first cowboy hat. Yee-haa!! We decided he would be a cowboy for Halloween. Now where do I find cowboy boots that little?
Checking out the farm animals.
Nathan and I with Big Red (biggest cow ever!)

And finally a picture on a pumpkin.

Zion National Park Vacation
Two weeks ago we took an amazing trip to Zion National Park with Ryan's family. We stayed at Zion Ponderosa Ranch which is just outside the park. We had lots of fun hiking, exploring, swimming and spending time with family. We are so lucky to live in a state that has so much beauty!
Ryan took some awesome pictures but I would have to start another blog to show them all to you.
The pool at the Ranch was awesome! It had slides and everything. It was great to swim after our long hikes.
